Storage on this device

Strictly necessary storage (your theme choice, saved tool inputs, and these settings) is kept in your browser so the site works as you expect.

What this site stores

The Academic Ninja keeps a small amount of information in your browser so the site works the way you expect. There are two kinds.

Strictly necessary
Your theme (light or dark), the inputs you enter into tools so you can return to them, and these preference settings. The site needs these to function, so they’re always on. They stay in your browser.
On-device personalization
An optional record of which guides and tools you open, kept only in this browser, so Your Dojo can suggest what to read or try next. You can switch it off with the control on this page; nothing is lost from the rest of the site if you do.

Clearing everything

The “Delete everything this site stored” button removes all of the above from this browser—your theme, saved tool inputs, personalization history, and settings. It can’t be undone, and it only affects this browser on this device.

If and when we add analytics or advertising technologies, we’ll describe them here and offer the appropriate choices. For the fuller picture, see our privacy policy.
